February 2018

CLUB BARBEQUE: A reminder to all members that our Club Barbeque is on Thursday 15 February. Many members have indicated they will be coming. Some members are bringing family and /or friends. All are welcome. It is easier to cater for the group if we know the number planning to attend. Please put your names on sheet at the Club or let a committee person know. Cost is $15 for adults and $12 for children. The barbeque will be lit around 5pm, but games will be played from 4 pm onwards. Members are asked to bring a salad to share and a cut piece of fruit for the fruit salad.

MISSING CROQUET BALLS: A recent sorting of equipment has found that the Club is missing a number of croquet balls, including two of our more recent balls. If you have borrowed a ball or any other item of the Club’s equipment, would you return it to the Club ASAP. The cost for replacing one ball is $120 plus freight.

During social play some balls have been mixed up. Some balls have Dawson 2000 etched on them, whilst others have Dawson written in bigger letters. Please try not to mix up the different sets of balls, as they do play slightly different when not of the same SET.

Bob has asked that we all take care in recovering any balls which may stray, particularly under our hedges and see that they are replaced in the correct set on the trolley or in the box.

GAME RESULTS:
