19 POINT GOLF COMPETITION: What a wonderful event this was, and I am sure we would like to thank Peter for all his organization, time and efforts in ensuring this competition ran smoothly. I am not sure if he has control of the weather, but the games were all played in sunshine. Graeme D did a wonderful job in organizing referees for the event and we thank all those who officiated at this event. Sue N and Toni presented wonderful soups, sandwiches and morning and afternoon teas for players, spectators and officials. Your efforts were appreciated by all, as was the food many of our members brought to the Club. Tim was up before the sun rose setting the hoops and making sure all was ready for the days play. Malcolm, our green keeper, had the lawns looking beautiful. All in all, it was a wonderful effort by many of our members. You all contributed to making this a very successful event. Thank you.

Robert Fletcher and his brother Greg played the final. Robert was the winner. The Plate was won by Ian Bassett

RAFFLE: The assortment of produce, members and their friends donated for the raffle, was outstanding and varied, allowing us to have many winners. Thank you to all members for your contributions. The raffle raised $405.

TASMANIAN CROQUET ASSOCIATION AWARD: At the recent ACM of the Tas. Croquet Association, Graeme Denehey was made a LIFE MEMBER. He is the first person to receive this award and I am sure we all would like to congratulate him.  Not only has he done a lot for our Club, but has been actively promoting croquet around the state and also on the big isle.  Congratulations Graeme.

NRCC DOUBLES GOLF COMPETITION: This event is to be held on 7Sat-8Sun July. Entries close on 29 June. For more details and entry forms go to croquettas website.

LAWN CLOSURES: Members need to read the notices at the Club for use of lawns. We are resting lawn 1 if possible and other maintenance is happening for both lawns.

MEMBERSHIP: We have lost ten playing members this year due to a variety of reasons, which means extra strain on our finances. All members are encouraged to try to recruit new players. Coaching will be available. Word of mouth is probably the best means of gaining players, so maybe your family or friends may like to try the game.
