AC PENNANT: Our Club has had mixed results with all divisions having at least one win. Tim has pegged out three times in his A Division games. Well done Tim and to all players keep up the good work. Not all clubs are able to field teams in each division, so we are doing really well to have representatives in each division.

A reminder that on Wednesdays when pennant is being played there is one lawn available for Golf players in the afternoon. You can make up two small lawns to cope for the many players who attend. Please use the old hoops if making up two lawns. Markers are on the lawn showing where hoops should be placed.

FANTASTIC EFFORT: Our Social Committee have been very busy, organizing the Spring Celebration and the Go See Tour group. Both events were a huge success.

The GO SEE TOUR group said that the visit to Kingston Croquet Club had been the best day they have had since on tour.

The SPRING CELEBRATION was well represented by members of our club, players from other clubs and member’s friends. It was good to see our junior members playing in the games. Denis did a great job cooking the barbeque, and the salads, cakes the Social Committee provided were delicious.

I am sure we would all like to express our thanks to the Dynamic Social Committee: Deidre, Robbie Margaret P, Cathy N and Toni. Your efforts were appreciated, as was the efforts of many of our other club members who helped with setting up of lawns and surrounds and running of the events.

RAFFLE: The basket is filling, but you can still donate items for the raffle. These can be left at our Club. The draw for the raffle will take place at our Christmas luncheon.

CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON: Our luncheon will be held on 10 December and the venue is The Beach Restaurant at Blackman’s Bay. Cost will be $38 for a 2course meal. Write this date in your diaries as it should be a fun celebration, with some members of our Club singing Christmas carols.

SENIORS WEEK: This is happening next Saturday 20 October. There will be two sessions:10am and 1pm. Club members are asked to come and play. When visitors arrive, members are asked to mix with the guests and show them and talk to them about the fundamentals of croquet. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided by our social committee.

GLAMOUR AND DANDY: MELBOURNE CUP FUNCTION: Members are asked to come in glamour and dandy attire. Starting time is 2pm. Sweeps will be held and a prize for best dressed presented. Could members attending please bring finger food to share. Cost is $10

CLUB GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS: The draw for these events will be done on Sunday and will be displayed at the Club. Good luck to all who enter.
