The Sandy Bay Croquet Club hires its premises and equipment to groups for the purpose of playing croquet as part of social events, work functions, school excursions and the like. On these occasions you will usually play Golf Croquet or Aussie Croquet - both are good games for beginners. We will teach you the basics in about ten minutes.
You are then able to play games in pairs and will quickly work out tactics. Games usually last about 30 minutes.
Players must wear flat-soled, enclosed shoes to protect our lawns and for personal safety. You may bring your own food and drinks, but we ask you not to take them on the lawns. Both outside and inside areas for food and drink are available.
